My Latest Obsessions: Twilight and blogs

ast week, I flew to a beautiful island in Hawaii and prepared myself for the long long 7 hour journey across the pacific ocean. Before I left, I sat at my computer and searched endlessly for some movies to load onto my ipod so I wouldn't act like a 5 year old and keep asking Stephen, "are we there yet?" So, I admit, I gave in and purchased the movie "Twilight". When the books first came out... I admit, I thought the concept of modern day vampires with white faces, boofy bouffant hair dos and a stare that could kill was just...well.... sort of stupid. I passed up the invites to tag along and see the movie and ignored all the books sitting by my sister-in-laws desk at her house. Christy was quite into twilight. I thought well, "if she likes it, its probably really good,... maybe ill just see the movie." Well, I did it. I finally gave into the feud and obsession with this book by Stephenie Meyers. I sat in a complete stare at my tiny screen on my lap and absorbed every minute of the wacky vampire adventure. Ok ok, ill admit. It was GOOD. Ummmmm, have you seen what Edward Cullen looks like? I found myself wishing I was Bella just for a day. To hang with vampires and have really cool music play in the background sounds like it would be fun. (Sorry Stephen, you're still my number one guy :) Ok, it's worth it in itself to watch and it is quite entertaining but I was quite surprised by how good of a movie it actually was. I've been told to read the books because they are better and now I think ill find time somewhere during my days to read about Edward Cullen and Bella. Its so much easier to watch a movie while I work but I think I might actually enjoy reading the saturated words Stephanie Meyers puts to paper. The last scene of the movie.... well lets just say I wish I was there with my camera.  
 
My second obsession? Where Twilight was filmed. If you haven't seen the movie,.... are you getting my point? You should. Not only because its a fun a step out of reality but the cinematography and locations were breathtaking. The rich green woods and rocks covered in moss would make for a PERFECT photoshoot. Im going to make it there sometime and bring awesome costumes with me. They say it was filmed partly in Oregon and Washington. Anyone live there? Can I come visit please?! We could do a photoshoot together.....  
 
My third obsession? Bridal blogs. Have you guys spent any time looking at these?! I know as photographers, we know the blogs out there and hope to be featured on every single one but as a bride, I have looked at them a little differently. I very much appreciate them as a place to gather ideas or simply steal ideas :) No no, I'm not stealing ideas but its a great way to get yourself thinking outside the box. As a bride, I want my wedding to be different. To have little special details that make our wedding unique and special to us. Photographers, be sure to document those little details at the wedding. Even if you think they might be silly to photograph, these details are what wedding blogs like. Look for the little details. They aren't always noticeable! It could be the hankie Jill's grandmother gave her. Or the penny in her shoe for good luck. Always ask and always look for them! If you havent already, be sure to check out , style me pretty, wedding chicks and the brides cafe.  
 
And lastly, I leave you with my newest music collection. I am a heavy listener to any sort of music. For all those working at computer all day, sometimes its more motivating to get through the day by listening to some music. Be sure to check out : - The Airborne Toxic Event (Sometime around midnight) these guys are even better in concert. Priscilla Ahn's voice is calming and beautiful.
