I've known Zack since I was in Kindergarden. For as long as I can remember, Zack was always the guy everyone got along with. He always went with the flow and everyone knew that Zack was just simply, " a good guy".
Last year, I received an e-mail from Zack about his future wedding. I was SO excited to hear from Zack and FINALLY meet his long time girlfriend that I had heard so much about. They met in college at Westmont and that's where it all happened.
Stephen and I met Katie and Zack in downtown phoenix for the engagement session. Katie and Zack mentioned they thought it would be neat to maybe have a brick wall theme throughout their engagement session. I thought the idea was PERFECT especially when I heard they were bringing their flashy black vespa. It was PEFECT for an adorable couple in love.
When Zack and Katie arrived they mentioned they have never had any professional photos taken and they were SO excited to finally take some photos together as a couple. Being in front of the camera is DEFINITELY not an easy thing to do but I was SO impressed with how comfortable they both ended up feeling as the session went on. It's not difficult to take a beautiful picture of these two... they are GORGEOUS.
I can't wait to be apart of Katie and Zack's wedding ceremony this July in the BEAUTIFUL city of Ventura.

| I fell in LOVE with the light here... |

| We found this HUGE M on this brick wall and I found this TOTALLY fitting for these two since Zack's last name starts with M. |

| LOVED this vepsa and the golden light... |

Last year, I met Ashley and her mom at the gorgeous Fire Sky Resort to talk about working together for Ashley and Steve's much anticipated wedding. The second I met Ashley I fell in love with her sweet, sweet spirit. Her heart is FILLED with personality, GREAT style, and I REALLY just wanted to get to know her and hoped we could somehow be friends. It turns out we both love the same vendors and have a lot in common besides the same taste in wedding planning. Ashley is one of those girls that you could sit and talk with for hours just about life. Since we both work day jobs behind a computer screen, we would often e-mail back and forth about engagement ideas, wedding planning or just simply what's going on in our lives. I loved it.
During their engagement session, we all really got to know each other a little bit better. We definitely felt a bit more comfortable with each other after the cops showed up at the end of their e-session. What a funny experience! You'll have to check out their engagement post to see what I'm talking about... ;)
A few months ago, my friend Ashley Gain called me and was looking to work more in the wedding industry and was willing to help where needed. Ashley and Steve were so grateful and were ready to start planning a detailed schedule. Stephen and I both felt the wedding couldn't have gone ANY smoother! It was such a blast working with such amazing vendors and Fire Sky was the perfect place for us all to work together.
I was again reminded as to why I simply LOVE this job. I love that I get to know amazing people like Ashley and Steve and share in the beginning of their life together. Ashley and Steve, you both really have beautiful hearts and I adore your eager willingness to serve others. Stephen and I felt so blessed to be a part of this ceremony and we really can't wait to spend more time with you both! Click HERE to see a slideshow of the rest of the day. |

Growing up with my brother wasn't always easy. I looked up to my brother and all his creativity and I always wanted to be just like him. Watching our old home videos makes me laugh because somehow Michael ALWAYS made them interesting. We would spend our summers re-making popular commercials and implementing our own spin on. The remote control that made things disappear was my favorite. (That one never actually existed on television) but it was Michael's early stages of his talent in video that made us all aware of his abilities as a creative artist.
During College at Point Loma, Michael met a good friend named Steve. Steve is FULL of personality and I think EVERYONE just loves being around him. They became good friends as they came up with their own lyrics to popular songs and sang them with their acoustic guitars for the Point Loma students in a coffee shop setting called Musoffee. Again, I wasn't surprised when I watched Michael and Steve become creative in their own way. Their friendship has grown and now they are young adults apart from college who have started their own business in videography.
I am THRILLED to watch them launch their new business and get started in the world of video. Their style and charisma is like no-one else I've met and I'm in LOVE with the video they created for Stephen and I. As Michael puts it " I want my videos to look like my sister's pictures in motion." I love that we can work together and that Michael and Steve can create a moving extension of what I see through my camera. I cannot say enough about how awesome it is working with these two. It just makes our work environment more fun and easy to do.
Michael and Steve are using all SLR cameras (like Stephen and I use) to film their work. The same equipment that some major motion pictures and televisions series are just beginning to use. (If any are interested, you can read about the article HERE ). The quality and portability of the camera is why these cameras are changing the video world as we know it.
Although they are just starting, Michael and Steve are incredible and I am blown away by the talent they already have. I cannot wait to watch their business develop even more. | Photographing Michael and Steve was so much fun... They added a bit of personality to their shoot :) |

Last week, I met Ally and her mom in downtown Phoenix for some fun senior portraits. My first impression of Ally was fun... but after I started watching her in front of the camera I realized she was a fun, giggly younger version of MANDY MOORE! I don't know about you, but I've never met anyone that reminds me MORE of Mandy!
Ally is just a bundle of fun and Stephen and I had a blast walking around downtown with her and looking for fun photo spots. Ally is currently a senior at Scottsdale Christian but is soon graduating and hopes to attend Colorado Christian University. This girl is going to do great things. NO DOUBT. Towards the end of the session, Ally's good friend Morgan joined us for a few friend shots to end the session. These two girls are gorgeous and so much fun. Morgan often goes to the Phoenix art walk so she knew a lot of fun spots to take some photos. Thanks Morgan! :)
Thank you Ally and Morgan for being SO much fun !!! You two are beautiful smart girls and I have do doubt that college will be a blast for you! |

| I love Ally's sense of style. She rocked her chucks and her cute blue dress perfectly. |

| Ally is FULL of personality. |

| Ally and Morgan seriously giggled the entire time. Love it. |

This is Marissa. Words cannot express Marissa's sweet sweet spirit. After e-mailing back and forth about her interest in Senior portraits, I knew this girl would be FUN to work with. We met each other at our agreed upon location and got to work with the GORGEOUS Arizona Spring sun.
The first thing I noticed about Marissa was her sweet smile. I giggled a few times through the session because I just adored her consistent smile! Marissa just cannot help but smile because I truly believe that's how her heart feels. Completely and entirely filled with joy. I always get excited when I see a beautiful, joyful and smart girl about to take over the world after graduation. I really think Marissa will do great things with her life and I think everyone is excited to watch.
Marissa, thank you for your HUGE heart and joyful spirit. You uplifted me and filled me with more excitement about life. The world needs more women like you.

| I just love Arizona in the springtime! |
