Invitations & Video 2

Finally, my invitations are here :) For those of you that read my blog, you know that I have talked many times about my wonder designer Dan and his great work. Im happy to brag about how wonderful the vintage, creamed lace, letter press invitations turned out. Im ready to send them off and gather all my final details for the big day! Note to brides : Call Dan.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the detail on the invitations... the little bird swooping over the word "to" just adds a little bit of character that will be at our wedding.

The little bird and the lace detail on the sides are perfect. Copied from real lace, the letterpress just made it look even better.

I LOVE how detailed the lace is especially on the right card.

Ok... so Im still getting the hang of this video thing. Since I have to video tape myself, I cant stabilize the focus therefore, Im out of focus sometimes. woops!! I sort of want to put chapstick on my lips... this Arizona weather is drying me out. Anyone have any?
Don't forget to leave your comments for future posts!! Again, Im no expert, Im just sharing my knowledge on how I started my business.

I've been MIA

You might have noticed that I have been MIA. Missing In Action on my blog that is...... After I got engaged, I really didn't think the process of planning a wedding would be this intense. And by intense, I mean exhausting. After shooting so many weddings, I thought it would be a BREEZE! Not so much... I have this tendency to be a VISUAL person. (Makes sense right?) So, its hard for me to invision what the day will look like. The flowers, the ceremony, the tiny little details I have been planning for years. I'm SO excited to see all these little details unfold. Although its hard for me to visualize the actual wedding, my emotions are starting to get tugged on a bit. Tugged in a good way... Im beginning to really absorb the fact that IM GETTING MARRIED!! It all seems so surreal and so far away but its creeping up fast and I couldnt be more than excited to marry the man of my dreams. Last Sunday, I was showered with love by friends and family and I feel beyond blessed to have these amazing people in my life to celebrate with me. I thought I would share with my blog readers exactly WHAT I have been doing while im not blogging at my computer. Searching for shoes, creating a schedule, following up with vendors and unloading all the wonderful shower gifts into my tiny little kitchen and living room. I love it all. Although the process is tiring, Ill miss it when its over. ill miss the planning, spending time with family talking about wedding details and enjoying this seasoned engagement time with Stephen. I definitely have been editing at my computer but I have neglected my little lovely blog. Sorry blog readers! Ill be doing a video post this week and I plan on answering ALOT of questions! THANKS so much for participating! Here are just a few little cute creative things I received at my shower.....

a real VINTAGE cook book!!!

My living room completely filled with boxes...

My nana got me these AMAZING coffee cups because I sip my coffee every morning.. :)

This clock reminded me of Alice in Wonderland and the blue kitchen aid reminded me of my Grandma.

A beautiful Tea pot that looks like the beauty and the beast cup and an AWESOME vintage camera! I couldn't believe how creative people got... I truly appreciate everyone!

They brought out my moms wedding dress at the shower and I just couldn't resist!!! I actually fit into it!!!

Three generations... My mom, me and my Nana.

All the wonderful women that threw my shower!!! Creativity flowing out the ears.

Your Questions

Hello fellow blog readers!! I just got the new 5d mark II and Im now experimenting with the amazing HD video the camera produces. After my last blog post about networking, I received some awesome e-mails from readers and I am so excited to watch everyones work as they progress in their business. I am still in the process of answering e-mails but thought this might even be an easier way to answer some questions. Sorry I have been MIA on the blog posts, wedding planning has taken over my life (not literally but sort of) and im finally getting back to my computer to talk about some new stuff. Watch the video and I hope you guys have an awesome week! PS- anyone know of any good shoe websites? I need a fantabulous pair for our wedding. Any suggestions? As much as I love shoe shots, mine better be pretty darn cute.

Press play, pause and let the video load before watching...

Shaley and Javier

Last Friday, Stephen and I packed our bags and prepared ourselves for the much anticipated Dallas Texas wedding. We knew it would be beautiful, hot and well worth the trip. We made it safely and were SO excited to work with Shaley and Javier. The wedding was sensational and absolutely gorgeous. From the details, to the couple, to the locations, the wedding was impeccable. We arrived Friday morning and ran over to the church to scope out the location. I must say, that Perkins Chapel on the SMU campus is nothing short of amazing. Built in 1911, the building alone holds numerous memories. Saturday would mark yet another important memory for Javier and Shaley and we felt honored to be apart of it. After the ceremony, we rushed over to the Crescent Hotel to gather some detail photos amongst the cocktail hour. We were just in time to meet with the amazing band as we prepared for an exciting reception filled with an abundance of joy and laughter. Stephen and I just want to thank Shaley and Javier for giving us this opportunity to document your day. You are a beautiful couple and we pray God blesses you abundantly. Click HERE for a slideshow of the rest of the day. :)

Shaley's GORGEOUS dress is from the Stanley Korshak Bridal salon.

I LOVED Shaley's pink Kate Spade shoes!!!

Once again, Stephen takes some amazing ceremony shots.

I LOVE this photo Stephen took.

The amazing floral design is by the talented Bella Flora in Dallas Texas. Breathtaking centerpieces!

I loved everyone's energy on the dance floor!!

In honor of Shaley's favorite color, Javier rented a stunning blue Bentley for a getaway car.

Dan's designs

I'm sitting at Sky Harbor Airport waiting to board my flight to beautiful Dallas texas, with an iced Starbucks coffee in hand. I'm preparing myself for heat. Not the kind of heat in Phoenix I'm used to, but the kind of heat that sticks to you and and makes you feel like your suffocating. Well, not really, but im sipping on my coffee in hopes my blood will stay cold and maybe I would start speaking with an awesome twang accent. I just got word that my wedding invitations are in the process of being printed and I am more than thrilled! You probably have seen a link titled Grayhood on my blog and wondered what it is... or... maybe you thought about clicking on the link or maybe you have. If so, you have been introduced to my save the date and invitation designer Dan Gneiding. Let me first start by saying, I am more than excited how everything has turned out. I will be featuring the invitations later this month..... but as for now, I just have to brag a little about Dan. I have been SO excited to work with Dan since I found his blog. He is continually working with Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie but yet still has found time to create amazing invitations! I stumbled upon Dan's blog after searching google for the right invitation designer. I found his blog and knew I just HAD to contact him. I just have to blog about his new baby girl Charley and her ADORABLE nursery that Dan and his wife have created. So stinkin' cute! I've spent so much time thinking about getting married lately and I've become quite obsessed with decorating. After hours of registering online, in the store, and allowing everything to simply "register" in my brain, I'm finding new ways to make my little condo more than comfortable for Stephen to move in to. I felt inspired looking at his blog and I hope you do too!

Dan.. can you come decorate my house? I need some creativity....Please? This is a sweet mobile that the crew from Anthropologie designed for baby Charley. Each designer put their own special touch on their bird and combined them to make a fabulous mobile. Lucky girl :) Definitely check out Dan's blog for more photos. You'll simply fall in love.

I thought I would leave you all with a photo of some flowers from my wedding. I can't wait to see what they will look like all pieced together at the wedding! Sweet little margo seems to make everything look just a little better. Don't ya think?
