Color management

I
discovered something really interesting while traveling last week. I edited some photos on my lap top and viewed them in the browser Firefox and gasped when I saw that most of my photos lacked the vibrant colors. I edit my photos and ALWAYS view my blog on the browser Safari. They look exactly like they do when I edit them in Photoshop or lightroom. If you are viewing this post in Firefox, you can see the difference in these two photos. Both photos are saved in different formats and neither photos have been edited. I have been editing my photos in the standard RGB format but if you want your photos to look ALL the same on every browser, make sure you change the format to sRGB. I found this article and now it all makes good sense :) If you are viewing this blog post in Safari, you probably won't see a difference in either photo because Safari has the correct color correction. For all those who have been viewing this blog in Safari, I apologize for my lack of colors. Just thought I would inform all my photographer friends who didn't know about this. I'm probably out of the loop and most of you probably already know this but I found it really interesting. Make sure to check out the article! Hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday!... I thought everyone would appreciate this photo. Stephen is holding my purse in the camera store and little Margo is just chillin out.
Although this picture still looks a bit faded in firefox, it still looks VERY different compared to the photo above.
