A Colorful Heart

She has a big heart. A colorful, whimsical, overflowing heart of color. Color that stirs your soul and invigorates your eyes to search for more. She is inspiring, beautiful, corky and has a laugh that is contagious. Dina is my older cousin of four years. She has been like a sister, a friend, a leader and an encourager throughout my life and I feel honored to even be somewhat related to these genes. (Can I have some please?!) Dina has an eye of beauty and is able to preserve and express her creative vision so meticulously on her canvas. Her personality, soul and outlook on faith is what draws peoples attention to her beautiful work.
I commissioned Dina a few months back to paint something for my house. I just needed a touch of "Dina" in my living room. Something that is colorful, fun and me all in one. Dina threw out a few ideas and I loved all of them. She whipped up the perfect Marie Antoinette portrait. In her own special creative way, she incorporated things I LOVE. The color blue, big hair, fashion, champagne a "motte" apple (which will be my soon to be last name) and of course a miniature pug with pearls named Margo. (Marie actually had a pug. awesome right?) I am absolutely so proud and impressed by what she has accomplished that I have to do some bragging about her here. Dina is hosting her very first GIVEAWAY (giveaway means FREE!!) this week, in celebration of Cinco De Mayo. Be sure to enter at Dina's Website before next Friday.
